Aukot the new opposition leader promises to keep jubilee government in toes

After the repeat presidential elections, kenya has new opposition leader who came third though in the tally. He is the leader of opposition after the withdrawal of the veteran opposition leader from presidential race citing key reforms had not been implemented in polls body.

Through his Twitter handle Dr Aukot conceded defeat and congratulated the winner, incumbent President Uhuru Kenyatta for well deserved victory

Media blackout a clear sign autocracy is back

For the last one week, the three leading media houses which commands approximately over 70% of the audience in Kenya have been shut the prime reason being airing illegal oath of NASA leader Raila Odinga who took an oath as people's president on 30th January The government are raising the issues of national security and the legality of the event. The impact that the live event could have had in the larger kenyan populace cannot be established but the government decry that airing it live could have threatened the stability and fan chaos.  Kenya editors guild had warned that the government had threatened to revoked their licenses if they had dared to air the illegal event. CS AMINA MOHAMMED SHOULD INTERVENE ON MOI UNIVERSITY ROT

Moi University should be included in 1000 ways of dying young in Kenya. The university has totally neglected the students in its main campus and has even gone a notch higher in its campuses which Odera Akango is one of them. The campus is in Gem sub-county in Siaya. The students idle around due to no lectures since beginning of semester. Last semester it was the same thing leading to students partaking only 3 exams at the end.is this acceptable really when students are in school in full time basis and moreover pay accommodation fees and school fees in totality? The freshers who joined campus late last year with high expectations are now uncertain about their future academic life. The freshers of Odera Akango campus are now in main campus having hired a bus and together with their belongings travelled to Eldoret in Monday morning after a month long stay in school without lectures or way forward from the university.
