Uncertainty as kenya prepares for repeat poll
Kenya is set to hold presidential elections on October 26th after the Supreme Court annulled results that declared incumbent Uhuru Kenyatta the winner and ordered fresh elections after 60 days.
There is uncertainty however as the opposition leader Raila Odinga and his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka have pulled out of the race and asked their supporters not to participate on the polls. Mr Odinga decried Independent and boundaries commission IEBC preparedness to hold the credible polls as he claims non of the issues he raised to be addressed have not been met by the poll body.
The legitimacy of the winner of the polls we likely be called into question of opposition supporters indeed don’t take part.
The international observer missions have lauded IEBC on what they term as the proper preparations and mechanism to deliver polls claims that the opposition refutes.
