There are so many reasons why Eldoretians are the primary casualties of January Blues and tribulations :

1.Drinking habits
Owing to the fact that most are basking in partying mood, they tend to overindulge in drinking alot. From the latest brands in vodka worth thousands Eldoretians don't mind but to toast with their friends any drink. Due to its addictive nature, alcoholism drains the pockets of most of our people.

Eldoretians are spendthrift and often goes out of proportion in spending just because its Christmas or holidays. People tend to do way beyond their own means.
They do the purchases in large quantities and expensive modern brands which are way beyond their ability.

3.Weddings

This bankrupts most of the people leaving them suffer most during the month of January Blues.

4.Rites of passage
Most young people undergo the initiation ceremonies to be ushered to adulthood. This have no much difference with weddings because spending and gifts headlines it. Hosting huge number of guests to footing the bills of the party with expensive liquors and food.

5.family gatherings

Family get togethers is a latest trends in events that mostly occur in December holidays. These events are associated with family ties and bonding between families and kins. The party comes in handy with repercussions of financial tussle as the host may be left bruised by the cost of hosting. Atimes it may be contributed by members but then at the end of the day there may be unaccounted supplementary needs that requires the host to foot them

In summary the January Blues mostly affect those who mainly identify with the festivities of the December holiday and Christmas celebrations in expense of the huge responsibilities awaiting as the new year dawns.

Eldoretians are the victims and have felt the bite year in year out but seems they quickly forget because these are perennial problems that recur over and over.
