Image
Moi University should be included in 1000 ways of dying young in Kenya. The university has totally neglected the students in its main campus and has even gone a notch higher in its campuses which Odera Akango is one of them. The campus is in Gem sub-county in Siaya. The students idle around due to no lectures since beginning of semester. Last semester it was the same thing leading to students partaking only 3 exams at the end.is this acceptable really when students are in school in full time basis and moreover pay accommodation fees and school fees in totality? The freshers who joined campus late last year with high expectations are now uncertain about their future academic life. A man who has pride himself as a change agent and a reformer having been largely voted to counter the rising cases of graft in Nandi County that greatly undermined development in the past 5 years. He calls himself “Mtetezi” for allegedly being a defender of his constituent’s rights. However, his recent utterances against the lifestyle audit hinted by President Uhuru Kenyatta to promote accountability have put him at odds with his Nandi County constituents. The senator has termed the audit as a witch-hunt and has viciously opposed the move. The residents expressed the outrage through Facebook in Facebook Group referred to as Rift Valley Caucus which mainly comprises North Rift residents. “Too bad for Nandi” a Facebook user Julius Chelule quipped. Others attribute his recent utterances to recklessness and carelessness with poor choice of words. “A leader should know when to shut or talk”. The senator’s comments caused nause
